Welcome back to work after the summer’s rest and, hopefully, sailing!
The Folkboat has its 75 year birthday this year, so a lot of my activities have circled around that celebration. The Danes arranged a jubilee Gold cup regatta that attracted 75 (!) Folkboats in Kerteminde on the Fyn island. It is very exciting to race against 74 other boats! The starting line was 750 meters.
But now, many of us are already lining up for taking the boat out of the water, so winter is approaching quickly.
I have my boat in the water a few weeks more, so I thought I could invite members for an evening sailing in the Folkboat – please contact me if you want to spend an evening on the water!
We have also discussed the Navigation training. The way we have churned out Navigation capable Ericsson students is admirable – another five have passed, hopefully, this spring.
Kindly give us a “heads up” if you are interested to join for the autumn/fall.
We’d like also to have some inspiring meeting in the November-darkness, where we could all look forward to the coming summer.
We’ll keep you posted!
Please also keep in mind that we have a number of subscriptions on the Search magazine – please advise if you want to be on the distribution list!
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
